Skiing fun around Fulpmes
When you spend your winter holiday in Fulpmes, you have no fewer than four Tyrolean ski areas available to you:
- The Stubai Glacier ski area is open from October to May and offers varied skiing at over 3,000 metres above sea level.
- The Schlick 2000 ski centre awaits you with 23 runs catering to all ability levels as well as rustic huts.
- The Elfer cable cars are particularly well known for their impressive tobogganing options – including at night.
- The Serles cable cars offer fun for the whole family while skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking, and snowshoeing.
Together, the four ski areas offer ski and snowboard bliss for beginners and pros, for the whole family, and for freeride fans.
By the way: During the winter season, you can use the ski buses free of charge throughout the region.
Winter magic off the slopes
The ski slopes aren’t the only place you’ll find fantastic, varied winter sports options:
- Countless winter hiking trails await you in and around Fulpmes. Step by step through the fresh snow – it’s even more magical during an evening torchlight hike.
- When you walk off the beaten track with your snowshoes through the Stubai winter landscape, you will experience nature with all your senses. The movement in the fresh air, the gentle sinking of your feet into the powdery snow, and the knowledge that you are discovering magical places that you can only reach with snowshoes make up this pleasurable experience.
- You can enjoy cross-country skiing at all altitudes on over 40 kilometres of trails. You can join the cross-country skiing network just a few minutes’ walk from the Alphof. A special highlight is the illuminated night trail in Milders.
- Glide – or pirouette – your way around one of the three ice rinks in Stubaital.
- For adrenaline junkies and nature lovers, we recommend a ski tour or ice climbing tour – with guide if you wish.
Whizz downhill on a toboggan
Who doesn’t love a fast-paced toboggan ride? In Stubaital, there are 10 toboggan runs with a total length of 41 kilometres – nine of the runs have even been awarded the Tyrolean quality seal for natural toboggan runs. That makes Stubaital Tyrol’s largest tobogganing arena, and one of the longest toboggan runs in Tyrol is also found here: the Mt Elfer toboggan run.
Our insider tip: night tobogganing. The lifts in the ski areas are open on different evenings – whizz down into the valley on perfectly prepared tracks in the moonlight.
